Plan and follow your cycling route using the Garmin Edge GPS cycling computers

Garmin's newest offerings for cyclists are the Edge 605, 705 and 800 GOS enabled cycling computers. Similar in appearance to the earlier 305, these three gems now offer viewable maps in addition to turn instructions. If you want a GPS on your bike solely for the purpose of navigating a route and basic bike computer functions (speed, distance), go with the 605 at approximately $100 less. The 705 adds barometric altimeter technology, wireless transfer of routes to cyclists near you, and the heart rate/cadence options. The color screens and map functions are identical. To make the Edge fully functional, you will also need the Garmin City Navigator North America NT microSD/SD card . The 800 series offers a touch screen instead of a toggle.
