10:30 am ferry arrives . Ride south Champlain Bikeway
First section: 21.5 miles on Champlain Bikeway south to 27 miles.to Essex. Essex Ferry every 30 minutes, to Vermont side.
Return via Lake Champlain Bikeway, 18 miles.
Total bike ride distance: 45 miles, with two ferry crossings.

RIDE 2: CHAMPLAIN BIKEWAY NORTH, WITH TWO FERRIES

10:30 am ferry arrives Fort Kent .
Ride north 21.5 miles on Champlain Bikeway (Rt. 9) to Cumberland Head Ferry, north of Plattsburgh . Plattsburgh Ferry: every 15 minutes, Cumberland Head to Grand Isle.
12:30 pm (approx.) Ride from Grand Isle to Burlington via Lake Champlain Bikeway and the Burlington bike path, 30 miles.
3:00 - 4:00 pm approximate time for participant return to start location in Burlington
