About Bike New England

Celebrating our tenth year of providing beautiful affordable bicycle tours. After joining the 2000 Big Ride Across America for the American Lung Association, I was hooked on Bicycle touring. After riding across the entire country, my favorite cycling was still right at home in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts. So I started Berkshire Cycle Touring to share these beautiful rides. In 2004 I moved to charming Ipswich, Massachusetts on the north shore of Massachusetts, where I lead cycling tours for Elderhostel.   At the same time I expanded the web site name to Bike New England to reflect our expansion to providing cycling resources for this area, and now throughout the eastern United States and Canada.  --Gordon Harris
